Eichler Home Tour Raises $96,000 for Highlands Elementary
The 2017 Highlands Eichler Home Tour is a wrap! By all accounts it was a smashing success. Over $96,000 was raised for Highlands Elementary PTA, making this the single largest fundraiser in Highlands Elementary history. Funds raised will be used for a variety of improvements, including: lunchtime enrichment, funding the computer aide instructor and library aide, books, special assemblies, teacher grants, chrome books, a new acoustic system for the LGI, the student garden and much more.
The event had record-setting attendance, with over 1,500 Eichler fans converging on the Highlands for the tour. Visitors came from near and far, including all over California, and 15 other states: AZ, DC, GA, IL, LA, MA, MN, MO, NH, NV, NY, OR, TX, VA and WA. A handful of Canadians visited, too, making this our first ever international home tour event.
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped in so many ways - we could not have done it without you! Over 100 parents and community members pitched in to stuff goodie bags, work at registration or as a greeter. Thank you all for contributing your valuable time and energy!
